Acid Retarder ART50 is a highly effective surfactant. It is an acidizing solution designed to slow down the reaction rate between the acid and the rock, enabling deeper penetration of the acid into the formation and enhancing the effectiveness of the acidizing process. The acid retardation is caused by filming action which partially blocks the hydrogen cation migration to the reaction sites on carbonate surface.
It is primarily used in carbonate reservoirs, such as limestone and dolomite, and is suitable for stimulating low-permeability reservoirs to enhance production.
